EXPORT GUIDE

Finish it. Keep it. Share it.

Save an editable copy for later and a finished image for everything else.

Editable document or finished image?

An editable document keeps the pieces of your design available for future changes. A flat image captures the finished appearance. When you need both, save two copies rather than expecting one file to do everything.

Choose PNG for transparency

PNG is a useful choice for graphics, screenshots and images that need a transparent background. It does not use the same lossy photo compression as JPEG, though the files can be larger.

Choose JPEG for photographs

JPEG is useful when sharing a photograph in a smaller file. It does not preserve transparency. Check the quality preview and make sure the background looks right before exporting.

Download your result

  1. Use File → Export and choose a format offered by the editor.
  2. Check the dimensions, quality and background options.
  3. Confirm the export and find the file in your browser’s Downloads folder.
  4. Open the downloaded image to check the result.

Keep the layers too

Use File → Save As for an editable document. Keep the original alongside the new copy, especially for imported PSD files with advanced features.

Downloading is your save.

The hosted editor has no server document library or automatic recovery. Download the work you want to keep before refreshing or leaving the page.
